Application:
Saccharin sodium is a white, odorless, and intensely sweet crystalline powder. It is primarily an artificial sweetener and approximately 500 time as sweet as sucrose(regular sugar). Saccharin sodium is most commonly used as a food additive to sweeten products such as candies, vitamins, salad dressings, gum, table sweeteners, jam, canned fruit, drinks, medicines, toothpaste and much more. It is also used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and electroplating industries as a nickel plating brightener.
Saccharin sodium is stable when heated, even in the presence of acids, Saccharin sodium has excellent storage characteristics with a long shelf life of approximately 3-4 years and does not react chemically with other food ingredients.
