Propyl Paraben is a preservative used in cosmetics and personal care products such as creams, lotions, shampoos and bath products to prevent the growth of microorganisms. It is the propyl ester of p-hydroxybenzoic acid. Propyl Paraben appears as a white powder and is water soluble, odorless, and colorless.
