Product Description

Sodium Saccharin:

Sodium Saccharin  also known as sodium phthalyl pyruvimide, was developed in 1879. It is the first artificially synthesized non-nutritional substituent. It is soluble in water. Its sweetness in dilute solution is 200 to 500 times that of sucrose. It has a bitter taste when the concentration is high. When heated under acetic acid conditions, the polarity disappears and bitter toluene phthalate can be formed.
